The recent Goddess Rising trip to Italy was life-changing in more than one way. First, I met amazing women and we shared a bond of love and laughter and caring that is normally unprecedented when meeting people you hadn’t known before. All of the women on the trip, including myself, boarded a plane to Italy by ourselves to meet a group of women we didn’t previously know in order to experience Italy. My reason for going was initially to get away for awhile and why not Italy? I thought I’d meet some interesting women, and I’d have an opportunity to meet Crystal Andrus also.
I have to admit when I boarded the plane to Rome in Los Angeles and started on my way that I had a few apprehensive moments. What in the world was I doing? I was going to be a long way from home with virtual strangers. Yet that was fear talking and not my authentic self.
Woman Energy is the energy that lets us as women take care of ourselves and do what we know is right for us. Somehow I knew this trip was right. Others asked me why I wasn’t going with my husband or if I knew the people I was meeting and looked at me rather strangely when I said I wanted to go alone, and it was a chance to meet new people.
This trip was an example of what can happen when you are in Woman Energy and listen to your own intuitive guidance system and do what it says. I made amazing new friends and intend to keep in touch with them for the rest of my life. These women are caring and compassionate and fun. I found a connection with them that is rare, and perhaps in the beautiful country of Italy, that connection was strengthened.
Crystal held workshops which helped us to trust each other even more and share our fears and secrets in a safe setting. I received so many gifts on this trip; validation of myself as well as generosity of spirit through assistance with foreign ATM’s, language barriers, loans, and just an incredible constant feeling of love surrounding all of us all the time.
Crystal herself exemplified Woman Energy in her independence and warmth and compassion and interest in other women. Woman Energy resonated in all the women of this trip. Woman Energy is not selfish; it is self-loving; it is not martyrdom; it is compassionate; it is not resentful; it is caring. Thus, the women I met on this wonderful trip were confident, brave, compassionate, caring, loving and strong. They are what woman energy is all about.
