Dear Crystal,
The women's retreat Saturday, April 9, 2011 was Simply....Phenomenal! I was so impressed, on so many levels (and at this point in my life I'm not easily impressed :)
Your ability to convey love, acceptance and respect for everyone of the participants, while at the same time sharing who you are was so refreshing!! And you are so funny!!! In your own special way you managed to bring 30 women together and, in a very short amount of time, an invisible bond and palpitable energy is formed. The women begin to share and friendships are ignited.
I've been on the metaphysical/spiritual path since I was born (give or take a couple of detours) and have a career that expands over 20 years as a clinical social worker. In my personal and professional pursuits, I've come across many groups and programs that offered this that and the other thing. The workshop that you facilitate is truly on a league of its own!
You, along with the women that come together in the little church, create an energy where miracles do happen. I witnessed it. I experienced it. It is in this energy field that quantum healing happens for mind, body and soul and years of living from that wounded place begin to melt away. If that wasn't enough, you manage to keep yourself and us in that energy all day long, even while you feed us in your home!! Seriously? Wow!!
Crystal, I am so thankful that part of my soul contract included meeting you! You are absolutely beautiful (when you walked in I said to Mary Kay "she looks like an angel" - little did I know! (or maybe I did :) This workshop quantum leaped to becoming the number one resource for my friends and clients!!

So many women ask me, prior to attending one of my Simply...Woman RETREATS, “What is it all about? What can I expect?”
The answer is:
This response may seem evasive but, believe me, there is nothing evasive about the Simply...Woman RETREAT; the experience is so uniquely personal to each and every woman who attends.
We all have “something”—some area in our lives that we “can’t quite put our finger on”—an area that isn’t working as well as it could be . . . or should be. Some of us have many areas; we feel stuck in our lives. Other women have specific questions about their career or their love life. And it really is “some kind of special” that goes on during these events—something works through me and in me—answers come, breakthroughs (that you never imagined would happen), and insights into who you are, why you do what you do and how you can do it differently as well as a “wallop” of courage appears—not just for some of the women . . . but for all.
Of all the things I do--writing books, facilitating courses, giving talks, working on TV and radio, there is nothing that ignites my spirit like a Simply...Woman RETREAT.

The setting is a magical 150-year old home with its own neighbouring church building (a.k.a. the retreat center) in a tiny community in Greenbank, Ontario, CANADA.
The air is fresh as you walk through the front door of the retreat center, and the original stain-glass windows and pine floors capture your gaze. This is a place of positivity, of healing and of rejuvenation. It is a place where the energy is sacred.
You know right away that this will be no ordinary day. In fact, it will be unlike any day you have ever experienced in your entire life. As the day gets started, you feel an energy moving through you, the candles glowing, the women sitting together as a large circle of friends, and me sharing with you in complete awe and gratitude.
As we finish up our morning session, I invite you over to my home (next door) to enjoy a decadent but healthy and totally-organic lunch. You are feeling more relaxed now as you take a few minutes to wander through my house and get a feel for how I live.
With a full belly, you head back to the retreat center to be greeted by singing sensation Natalie Hughes, who will lead us (for about 30 minutes) into our afternoon session. The remainder of the day only seems to build in intensity, excitement, inspiration, and knowledge.

Life is so amazing! All of it. The good and the bad. The uphill struggles and the smooth sailing. I walked away on Saturday empowered and reminded of the beauty, resilience and connection that we all share whether we are aware of it or not. You are this perfect example to the world and certainly firsthand to the 24 women that were blessed by your genuine love and support.
The day brought me many gifts and blessings. I am humbled to have been a witness to the vulnerability and open hearts of the other women. All we really desire is to be loved and to love and sometimes, often, we forget. Your magnificent presence and your radiant light allows for others to reconnect to this truth and begin to feel it again at a very deep level. How do I say thank you - enough - to convey how moved I am to have had this experience. I do know that you understand exactly what I am feeling and saying and that in moments like this when one is in a state of pure humility, honesty and love no words really need to be expressed - you just get it and know! Though I have had the experience of similar retreats with the same sort of processes that you guided us on, this day in particular confirmed within me my immense capacity to feel and to be love. What I really needed to see and understand is how to be open with others and so free to be who you really are. You showed me this freedom to share and you did this through all aspects of yourself - your town, your home, your family, your friends, your experiences, your humour and your compassion. It would be so easy to book a conference room in downtown Toronto and keep everything neutral but you didn't. You shared it all with us with such joy and gratitude. This is what I needed to experience. Let go of the fear of showing the world who you really are.
I have an amazing life and I have been blessed with so many gifts. I have been on the path and I KNOW IT, however, I have not been free of the fear of being judged that I am not good enough, I'm not smart enough,... Which means - you know - I am judgmental - yuk! Because of this I have not been able to allow others to fully experience all that I am and what I am here to do. I play small. You play BIG. I saw you BE this and you are it with such beauty and grace. Thank you for showing me.
There is so much more about the day- for sure - and as I sit quietly the lessons and messages are coming in clear and strong. So Beautiful Crystal - the day was awesome. The music and singing shared by Natalie was like a cozy warm comforter (blanket) that wrapped us up in love. The food so yummy and the connections with the others - pure. For all that you are, for the way you share your journey so that we may experience our own greatness - I am grateful.

Crystal,
I wanted you to know how wonderful I have felt since our retreat. It was miraculous how fantastic and light I felt after. I actually felt like I was glowing. I told you on our initial trial coaching session that I heard Christmas music last week and felt a sense of dread in being lonely this Christmas. Well, on my way home after the retreat, I caught myself humming a Christmas tune and now I'm really looking forward to the holidays!
Your believing in me has propelled me into believing in myself and being excited about my future. I had not felt that way in a long, long time.
I am close with my mother, but last night we had the best conversation that we have ever had. I really felt acceptance and unconditional love towards her. We ended up laughing and having a great night!
I have signed up for 5 coaching sessions and am so excited about all the possibilities that my life holds. So I really wanted you to know that you have already made a big difference in my life and the lives of people you have never met.

Never have I had the pleasure of meeting such a beautiful creature, both inside and out.
